Ok, I have been trying to troubleshoot this issue for a couple of weeks. The Blaster won't start unless I have my thumb down just enough to turn off the TORS switch, and when it starts it will just rev out.... If I throw the choke on it will idle normal. So far I have pulled the carb, cleaned it, checked the needle / slide to make sure it is going all the way down. Made sure the airbox and reed cage were not leaking air, also checked the reeds to make sure there was not an issue there. I have bypassed the TORS and it still happens. Someone please help me out here and tell me what I can do next?

What;s the best way to check for leaks? Spray carb cleaner on the boot etc..?
I did check the float when I was cleaning the carb and it is moving properly.

Could not find any leaks. Is it possible that something is happening in the tors unit on top of the carb? I think I am going to get a TORS eliminator kit and see what happens.
The TORS won't make it rev at idle though, quite the opposite. The elim kits are nice, cuz they clean things up, but all you should have to do is unplug the carb and throttle switches, and jump the harness where the throttle switch plugged in.

I will check it again. What I have been doing is spraying carb cleaner all over waiting to hear the engine die out.
also check your airscrew. screw it all the way in and back it out 1 1/2 turns. my bike did some really high overrevving at idle. it ended up being that and a dirty ass air filter
Well I have checked everything I guess... have checked for leaks at the jug, intake boots, cleaned the carb, checked the slide, inspected the reeds... What else is there? I don't know what else to do now, and I am not going to bring it to a dealer. Looks like I might have to sell it and get something else. Is $500 good for a 1992 Blaster with an idle problem?
OK try screwing the air screw in until about a half a turn out.That should richin it up some.If that doesnt do it and no air leaks are found try a richer pilot jet.Did it just start doing this or did you do something to it or buy it like this?Stock carb?Maybe your throttle cable is sticking.also there could be a leak on the stator side of the case...
I already tried messing around with the air screw, but I got no results. The bikie just started doing this out of the blue? I thought it might be an issue with the TORS, so I bypassed it, and I am still having the issue. How can I check for a leak in the case?
u will only see it if is the right or the clucht side crank seal and id say it would be the left side and what r u using 2 clean the carb? carb cleaner if so it could be the ledt over sh*t that will make it burn and idle high
Not seeing much smoke, just a little bit when it first starts, but I can't run it long enough to tell... The bike revs out so quick you have to either choke it or switch it on and off to keep it going steady. I am going to have to try the crank seals, it is my last resort.
