9"X9" Rim with 20" Tire

I asked this once before but didn't get quite the answer i needed.

I was wondering if i can put a 9" by 9" rim with a 20" tire on the stock blaster. I have the stock swingarm and the stock axle. Yes the rim is the 4/100 bolt pattern but i was jw if the rim will fit by the little black plastic foot piece and the metal part on the footpeg that holds the black piece. Thanks, Ben

yea man it should be no prob at all, as long as that bolt pattern is right, the clearence should be fine the stock back tires are 21x11x8 so it will clear no prob

but thats an 8" by 8" rim correct? and im more concerned about the width not the height, i know that the hight will fit no problem.

im kinda confused here, u dont want the tires to close to the plastic heel guard? that would be a height issue not a width

no, the height is fine, bit with an extra inch of width from the rim i think it will be very close to the bottom of that plastic piece

It's like the foot protector, the piece that is mounted on the back of the footpeg and keeps your foot from going back into the tire, it has a little metal semi circle that is connected to the footeg area and that is where it is mounted. I think the extra width, if it goes in any more will be very close to hitting that, so basically i'm trying to figure out if the inside edge of my rear tire will be in the same spot or if the tire will be set in more because of the wider rim? I know it sounds confusing but i'm trying to best to pick it apart

I know what your talking about man. I would imagine it would fit. People run extended axles and spacers with no problems. A 1" wider wheel would be like a 1" spacer, right?

it will be fine i run a 9x9 20x10x9 on my blaster no problems i dont have the foot things but when i had them on it worked no problems.. and as you can see in the pic my nerfs stick out alot farther also... topic solved haha

thanks guys, i was finally able to describe it, now my other question is how do i know if the rims are offset? I would prefer them to be but how can i find that out, or do you guys know of any that are? Thanks, Ben

it should tell you if they are offset

i run 9x10 rims, 20x11x9 tires no problem
