is there any big problems to worry about on the 03 400ex's? im going to look at one tomorrow just need to know if theres anything i should look for. also is 1900 a alright price for an 03?

he says the only damage is a crack on the fender or the mount or smomething and front tires. it has dg exhaust and k&n filter thats all i know till 2morrow
lol my bad i didnt see the price but i wud buy a raptor u can find an 01 in good cond. for 19 i bought 1 for 18 and i sold itfor 2000 but either way the 400 is nice it will smoke but verry very little and the smoke cant be too dark
yeah im going at 4 to check this beast out. so i should look for thick smoke when i start it, and bent a-arms? there were no major probs with the 03's was there?
I dont think there were any problems with any of the years. They're great atvs and as long as it looks to be in good shape and it doesnt smoke then yes its an ok deal.

Looks like a nice bike. Just take your time checking it out.
Shake the tires, looking for bad ball joints & tie rods. Look for oil leaks all over including the head. Feel the motor, I like to start the motor cold so I can see exactly how it starts... Lots of guys will start the bike before you get there to hide any starting problems or excessive smoke during start up. See if it has the airbox lid, Spark arrester, etc. Ask if he has any extra parts for it. ask if it has the title.
If you see something missing or broke thats a great opportunity where to start when negotiating a price. Say its missing so and so part, that parts $whatever amount would you take $whatever amount less.

yeah it started right up no smoke rode clean. the only problem i saw was the front fender. and front tires are balld
so what offer him 1200 cause no papers then when he counters with 16 meet him like halfway fo4 13 or 1400
