something i think this setup needs to have.. on the bottom mount you have a steel bolt running through the aluminum shock. this will be fine for a while. but after hours and hours of riding this will start to "oblong" the aluminum shock and it will develop play. i got some nylon type bushings and drilled them to work. on the inside of the bushings i cut a steel spaceer to keep them in place in the shock. yeah these bushings will wear out after a while. but i would rather be able to replace these bushings for a few bucks and keep the mount tight, then have it eat away at the actual shock. i attached some pics to show what i mean. with a little thought and a trip to the hardware store you guys can come up with something similiar or the same as this. for stock swingers you may have to use bushings on the swingarm mount being it is a bigger hole than my custom swinger with longtravel mount.

Nice idea.

I have a few questions first im a big guy (6'3 240lbs) and the stock blaster suspension aint cutting it so im looking to upgrade and found a guy local with banshee front shocks in good condition for cheap and a 99ish 400ex rear shock and wondered if it would be enough for someone my size and what exactly do you need to modify to fit the shock on a blaster?

Tshanks after some searching i think ill go with the 400ex and the bushings from ken oconnor.his looks like a one time deal.probsbly out last the shock.
