4 wire stator and 5 wire stator ?

whats the diference between the 2 other than 5 wire is 03 up is one better than the other?

they're the same output as far as i know


the biggest thing is the 5 wire is going to be newer unless the 4 wire has been replaced

THe only real difference is the extra wire, which is an isolated ground for the 03 and later quad's source coil. This wire gows to the cdi/tors box on 03+.
