34mm carb fits really tight, need help!

i just picked up a keihin 34mm carb for blasters. i realized as i was putting it on that it isnt going to fit the stock air intake tube.the carb is longer and the intake hose overlaps it too much.. should i mod the intake? has anyone else ran into this problem?

i have a 35 mm keihin carb ,with the same prob, and just dont want to buy the boot for 60 bucks, i think im gonna try to shave the inside of the boot, the crab is pretty close to fitting, and i think i can take enough out to make the carb fit.

you could try doing that, take a razor blade, sit back watch some t.v. and just give a go at it

no go to lowes and buy a Rubber Boot Connector for pipes from the pluming department 2inch or so I:I

thank god i have 1 other person thats that pastinate about it being such a biotch to be on. i oiled her up thinking maybe it would slip on, didnt do sh*t all. it made me so pissed i smashed a flashlight against my tool box and it shattered lol. yeah i know, anger issue, but i was just so pissed ebcause this was before i got it running and after i wasted 4 hours worth of driving+dicking around doing nothing to fix it because i had no tools up north.

its almost too close to fit the carb in now, i doubt that it will fit with another 2'' connector in there.lol

u guys can take ur rear plastics off, then put the carb on, then put the airboot on to it and bolt the plastics back down!

man im really gettin pissed. i cant stretch the air boot around the carb. and the tube that comes off the filter is too long for the new length of the carb. im bout to hill billy rig this hunk of sh*t back together.!!!!
