I just finished reading 4cfed's write up on PJ ... carbs and it says that the throttle cable should be loose. Also the idle adjustment should be done with the top of the choke knob. I understand that but when I adjusted the choke knob my idle did not change at all. I noticed the cable holder on the cap of the carb had threads and a jam nut so i figured that would work for idle adjustment. However it makes the cable tight and essentially opens the throttle. It idles great now but I don't want the throttle to stick on me. Can someone tell me if i'm missing something? Any help would be appreciated.

I'll post some pics tomorrow

ya the pics might help, did you take the carb off and see if it moves the slide up and down? did you try turning it all the way clockwise and all the way counter to see if it does anything.

o ya it doesnt die on you if you dont give any throttle right? you just cant get the idle to do anything?

I adjusted the brass knob on the top of the carb to get my idle right. The choke knob didn't seem to do anything but maybe i am turning it the wrong way?

i think that maybe ur jeting maybe wrong if u cant adjust the idle unless there is something wrong with ur carb. because i have the same carb and its works great!
