2g00d's 1989 Blaster Build

So I'm planning to totally rebuild this blaster, bought it as a fix up, but it still ran and drove awesome til I rode the axle bearings out of it. So right now, I'm going to replace the bearings, put in the rear brakes, race cut the front and rear fenders and paint all the plastics, remove the heel guards, and install my new exhaust. Thanks to YBMcall1202, 1bad442, and slickerthanyou for the parts so far. I will be stopping for a while once these things are done until I save up a bit, then the real build will start.

Here's what it looks like right now. going to cut the fenders tomorrow night, I'm still trying to decide a paint scheme. I've cut off all the parts of the heel guards.

haha YZ125 silencer many-holes special edition welded onto the blaster's header. bought a stock '06 pipe off 442 to replace it.

Haven't had a lot of time, but its almost all apart. going to take it down to the frame and strip the paint off the frame tomorrow.

Thanks man. I have a lot more planned for it than I say here. Just cleaning up its appearance will make a huge difference.

Completely apart. Going to clean up the motor and have the frame and all the other pieces (A-arms, swinger, bumper, foot pegs etc) sand blasted.

All the junk I took off it. Except the front fender mount bar and the headlight, they are good if anyone wants them. Took em off for the sportier look.

Lime green frame, black plastic. Been done a lot before, but it will look awesome. I:I every part will be done in those 2 colors.

I should have the plastic done and the frame sandblasted by mid next week. trying to buy as many aftermarket parts as possible while its apart.

Cut rear fenders. turned out way better than I was expecting. edges still need to be sanded though.

Lol I don't care much. I get totally sh*t faced every time I go riding anyway. There was a huge chunk out of the right fender, so either it look ugly that way or I cut them the way I did and it looks cleaner.
