i searched, found out you can use this shock heard great things about it. then when i searched how to install. the list grew thin. how hard is it to modify this shock to fit the blaster? my rear shock is pretty shot and i just got replacement fronts (banshee) and figured might as well do the rear now.

im on ebay right now so depending on how easy it is to do ill bid on one asap

its a pretty easy fit you just have to cut something on the top sleeve if i remember correctly. PM blaster01 he did this before he sold his blaster he could tell you how to do it

For '86 and newer the top mount is alittle wider than the stock shock, You'll need to crack out the 4 inch grinder and take atleast a 16th to a 8th of an inch off each side.

What I said does not apply to the year you just bought, have fun.

This is the exact one I bought from a member awhile back, see the diff. look at the inner sleeve at the top, thats what needed to be skinnier

lol i just messaged the guy on ebay. even though i already paid hopefully he understands my dilema and refunds me my money back im gonna try and get a newer one if he refunds me

if he doesn't it should work, just pack it with washers, its what i had to do with my z400 shock (stay away from pre 03 z400 shocks, they're junk) i haven't had a problem with the mount and washers yet

with my 250r shock i had to grind the 2 tabs out of the top mount on the frame.grind the bolt sleeve to sit between mount for the bottom.then grind a little on the top mount of the shock just a lil so it willo fit in the top mount.its really easy once you start doin it

i got one and all i had to do was skim the top sleeve and it went right in. pretty easy really. looks like its gonna jack up the back a little, but i weigh about 210-215 so it'll be okay lol
