250r rear shock problem

i won a trx 250r shock on ebay and it was described as a 86 rear shock but it its 1 inch longer(eye 2 eye) i thinking its not a 86 shock ,am i right

The 86 and newer trx shocks are indeed 1 inch longer pre 86 it'd like 3 inches.. you got the right one bro
