Most of the people on E-bay are making $2 - $6 on a piston. That's not how things are meant to work. I won't even try to compete with these people. If people want to buy parts off of E-bay from some 98 year old Grandmother that applied for a business licence, so be it. Call that old hag and ask here a few questions..............here's what you get.............NO SERVICE!!!!!!!! NO SUPPORT!!!!!!! I get cranks from customers that are off by as much as .011 and I fix them. What the hell are these E-bay price chopping whores going to do? Do you think they check them? Do you think they care if your engine is going to run at its full potential?????????????? NO! They could give a sh*t because they made their freakin $6 and they're happy to take the money and run. I get crap parts sent into my shop every day from customers that want to save $20 on a piston so they buy them on E-bay. Here's a good example. I got a piston in a box marked 67.75mm. When I checked it out, it was a 66.75mm piston with 67.75mm rings. Load that into your bike and see what happens!!!!! When all hell breaks loose you'll be posting your problems on this forum and none of us will be able to figure it out. Bottom line is this. Trust your builder. We're all going to charge more than E-bay BUT we're here to help!. Every builder on this site will provide you with service and expertise knowledge after the sale. I love the dudes that have me quote parts and then they tell me “I can get it for $10 less on E-bay”. Real kick in the nuts. Then they wonder why the parts take three weeks to get to me and when they show up, they're wrong. Use your heads man. Like another builder said......you got a 50/50 chance. Sorry to be a dick.
