aight i just changed my mind again with the x-mas list....(go figures) now i'm hooked with the vitos 240 big bore kit??? how is that with a shearer pipe? will it be good with the current mods? or maybe the small bore kit from kennedy.....how is that with my mods?

thanks

im gonna get a port when i get the money and get a F7 pipe and silencer when i get the money and a hotrods stroker, hows that sound!!! that will be next time i rebuild though.

so would i notice it????? or would it be a waste of money?
Not a waste at all!! And you will see a difference, but it screws the port timing up, and once you get it ported and matched you will have a much broader and higher power band then stock and more hp then a un ported bb. It also gives you a great base for if you do want to go all out with a bb kit and diff pipe/carb.

i just won a bb kit off ebay, im not even puttin it on the quad till its ported and done up real nice...id wait and do it all at the same time, here in michigan theres alot of downtime to save up money

if i were you i'd buy kennedys setup...its a stroker too i believe..but a 240 kit later on, sell that ported cylinder.....and have that 240 ported b4 you put it on...strong 30 some horse is good....probly works awesome with that shearer pipe too....3 mil stroker with a 240 kit is a top notch setup.....might as well get the bottom end done right 1st....

actually, you can have angus resleeve that cylinder for a 240....then you have the best of both worlds, he can even up the port timing/durations...etc...thats the best and cheapest way.....

thanks bro! well i think that ebay link i posted will be a pretty good deal? u think? i know angus is sellin a smalll bore setup and im debating whether that will be better than the 240?? u think so?

i think buying angus' setup would be the best way to go for now, then upgrade to a 240 later. its easier to upgrade to a 240 than it is to a stroker, especially after a portjob....that setup is a stroker....i think 30 some horse will surprise you...besides, why buy a non ported 240, when you can buy a ported setup that you can make into a 240....to me it just makes sense......

this is where i get lost so angus's setup is ported? lol i'm still learnin the engine stuff

tyler.. how bout giving angus a call.. or when i tlak to him in the next couple days i'll ask him for ya.. but if it;s a kenneedy stroker it's def. ported and the head is redone..

it's always easier to stroke first.. because if you big bore first and port it for a stock stroke then want to go with a stroker later.. the transfer port roof will be too high.. this will mess up your transfer port durations with the 3mm crank.. if your wanting to eventually end up with a big bore stroker.. stroke first.. then big bore later.. you'll be happy you did..
