found a set w/250r rims on CL for $100. thinking I wouldn't mind some paddles for sand and maybe cinder soft dirt/loose stuff or mud. also figured I'd lowball the guy and see if he'll do $50. I want to run them on my 450 actually for now but once I get my 250r going I'd LOVE to blast that sucker thru some sand and roost out on a beach somewhere :D so how are these tires? I couldn't find much on them online searching. I have 13/38 gearing and a few power mods, it pulls wheelies like a mofo with my 22" front 20" rear ITP XCRs with rims 2x as heavy as ITP ss112s lol. so I don't think I'll have a problem turning them... any comments? here's a pic off the guys listing :)

raptor forum guys said it's now called the ripper, the paddles are stiff and heavy compared to something like haulers, and 8 paddles so they will be alot for any of my bikes to turn :(

after careful consideration I'm going to build my raptor 1st as it seems to be the cheapest to build. then I'll see about building the others. or maybe I'll build my trx250r :D since that's what these rims are for. but I was advised it's a very aggressive paddle and even fully modded the 250r would be having a hard time running them and even a modded banshee would have fun pulling them :( so if I get them I'll just use them to get by on the 450 then later run them on the 250r when it's rigged out or put them on the rappy after it's more modded :D

not sure who is giving you this info on the paddles. Me and my group use nothing but Skat-trak tires(if we can affoard them). they are the best paddle i have ever run with paddle brat comming in 2nd. My 250R is heavly modded but i run a 22" 10 paddle extreme hauler and hook up killer. I was running a 23" 10 paddle but i didn't like the 10" wheel. 8" wheel is where its at for sand tires. when the RPMs get going the ballon up great. as for running them in anything other than sand is not a good idea. the carcass is buffed down to make them light then they glue on the blades. This is there only downfall is that you can rip off a blade unlike a molded 2 peice tire. Your stock 250R will do very well with them on there as will your 450. Straight blades are a good tire for hillshooting not so much on the playful side like a v blade. Check and make sure they are not rotting either in the sidewall or you will have to tube them.

a 8 paddle will be too much to turn??? are the raptor guys f*cking morons??? that will be perfect for you.

the Rippers do have an 1 1/8 blade unlike every other paddle with a 7/8". might do better with a smaller blade on the 4 stroke. the 250R should rip with them on as it revs higher. One thing i have learned about paddle tires is this! good shape blades and lighter is better= rippin up any hill like your bikes built. sh*tty paddles that are heavy= having to ride like a mofo just to make it. My buddie had to have these billet LSR hubs we found on CL, they were old school 4/156 bolt so he had to run J-arm 10" wheels. the only tire he had was a worn out 9 paddle hauler. 1st night out to the treeshots and it took him 6 attempts to pull out and he had to keep it in 2nd gear pulling a wheelie all the way, this on a 4 mill stroker! I laughed my ass off so hard as my R with 10 paddle extremes pulled it in 4th! 2 stroke is all about how much you can spin them, but they gotta do more than spin if you get the drift
