So, as some of you know, I parted out my Blaster the other week.
I made so much money off parting it out that I put down about 50% on a brand-new, leftover TRX250X.
Let me tell you, this thing is as much fun as the Blaster and it's great for bigger guys like myself (265lbs and 6'0").
It's a good quad for beginners since it has a centrifugal clutch and a cable clutch.
Sit down and let me explain:
It has the same transmission and drivetrain as the old TRX250EX and Recon 250 ES. That means it's a shaft-drive, air-cooled quad.
Starting with the "redesign," they implemented a cable-clutch override for the centrifugal clutch for those of us who are used to using a clutch.
It's great for my girlfriend because she is unfamiliar with riding ATV's with a clutch and can get the hang of it without it stalling. It's great for me because it's a torquey S.O.B that pulls wheelies as easy as the Blaster.
Here's the best part...it has working brakes!
