well this is news to me, the sales guy at yamaha told me last year 2 strokes weren;t beuing sold anymore. glad they are!!
BECAUSE yamaha introduced a 4 stroke in 98 named the yz400f r ruined it for everyone else.....then the epa said wow this dont make smoke, we like it...no more 2 strokes after 06 is the cool. then honda said sure thats cool!
i believe you can still order a 2 stroke bike from all the top manufacturers. they are expensive now. and i think ktm still makes them on a regular basis
kawasaki makes the 65, 85 n 100, suzuki makes the 85, ktm makes all of them yet, yamaha makes them all yet, honda sold it soul...gasgas makes the 300 quad yet, husky makes some killer 2 strokes.
