Ok so I have a 05 blaster with a 95 engine fully rebuilt when (yes I changed the stator out). it fires but doesn't run (doesn't back fire). I have been doing a lot of research on it. Here's what I have done:
Fresh fuel
Rebuilt carb
Tried new carb
New coil
New park brake senor.
Piston is wright
Changed the reeds.

What could it be?

Thanks Tom

That's what I have been thinking it has a week spark.
No I haven't done a leak down test.
compression is 130 psi.

Thanks

Take off the spark plug, and hold it on the motor.
Then kick it over, does it have a strong spark? Try a new spark plug.

And also, Build/buy a leak down tester. Member Awk08 has them for sale for a good price I:I

I changed the spark plug. I heard of using a ohms meter to check if the spark is good? should that be the next step on this mystery?

Ohm meter will not check a spark plug... You can test a coil with that.

Build a leak down tester (find link in DIY section) or buy one from awk08

Are all of your jets clear? What mods are on your quad?

All two stroke motors should be leak tested after being torn down. Most people on here say to leak test twice a year even if you hadnt taken it apart.

What size jets do you have? What air filter?

What is a 2+ key? timing degree advance?

What jets to you have in the carb? You should have a nice blue spark. If you have a weak yellow spark do the following before you spend any money....

Clean all both ground mounts. One on the coil and one on the voltage regulator.

Unscrew the spark plug boot. Cut off a 1/4" and screw the boot back on.

Check all connections in wiring harness

Remove flywheel and clean any rust off of magnets

I tried it both ways.
It's kind of odd because I have had 9 of these things and I can figure them out pretty easily. But this one is being stubborn. that's why I joined.

Ok I can try that. But the funny thing is it ran before with the old engine (needed rings and bored). so I changed the engine out with a 95 engine.

There all the same.
but the only difference is the stator.

yes there is a extra wire (black) coming from the stator. The wiring harness has a plug in for it. I checked the ground on the coil and also tried a new coil.
