Hey guys, I'm new to this Forum, don't know much about forum use, hope I'm doing it right, lol.
I need a little help, mostly advice.
I have a 2004 Yamaha Blaster, I bought it used so don't know what has been done to it and what has not been done to it, lol. I bought it at a good price, $500 dlls. Broken reed valves were the issue but the seller didn't know, he thought engine didn't have enough compression. It would only start with the choke up and would bog down and die, Even when engine was warmed up engine would die after dropping the choke. I thought it was just a Dirty Carb and/ or old Fuel issue. Carb was cleaned and installed and that's when we noticed Reeds were broken, Replaced Reeds and started at first kick. Idles good. So I now have a great running Blaster for $500(what I paid for it)+$100 service(carb clean and Reeds) Total $600. Now for what I need help with, LOL. Quad has Twist Throttle which I don't like at all. I'm used to thumb throttle. Yes, they say Twist is better but not for me. How do you convert it from twist to thumb throttle? What do I need to buy and replace? Hope you guys can help, Thank you.
