get a hold of a compression gauge 30 bucks at a auto parts store or rent one
you can take exhaust off and look up to see if piston is scored,or just take the head off and inspect it,buy a new oem head gasket or you can anneal old 1 with a torch, then you can fix that leaky pipe lol it will help some you'd be surprised
Have you adjusted the idle by the following method?
Idle adjusting.
Set float level, make sure that all jets are clean and fuel flows freely from the float bowl drain when the screw is cracked open.
Start with air screw 1.5 turns out.
Set idle screw so that it has some sort of idle. With TORS it is the big screw under seat on top of unit. With no TORS is is the brass screw midway down carb body.
Warm up motor and then set idle screw for a faster idle, 2000rpm+
Adjust air screw either way to get the fastest idle.
Adjust air screw a little at a time leaving 10 secs or until the motor responds.
At your elevation a smaller main may be needed, but the main jet doesn't come into play until 3/4 throttle. I'm beginning to think more of an electrical issue
Have you messed with the choke at all, unscrew it and check the o-ring. Is there a washer under the main jet as shown in the diagram. It does seem like you are rich. I'm assuming you have checked/changed spark plug right?
Yes i put a new plug in today i havent took the jet or choke out of the carb thats on it but the other car iv got it apart sokeing the oring is fine on it and it didnt have a washer under the jet
Ok i cut the headerpipe into took the broke piece out and welded back together and know the blaster runs perfect as long as the breather is unhooked if you hook it up it boggs down but i unhooked it again and i rode ot for a hour and had no problem
I cut the header pipe in half took out the piece that were rolling around and i had the tube from the air boxa to the carb off the carb and it run perfect the whole time i wuz rideing it then i hooked it up and it just died it would hardly run so i unhooked it again and it ran perfect again
