i just got my top end bored 20over,,, the shop sold me a gasket kit for a 68mm blaster? is this ok,, and also he told me to use carb/ brake clean then wipe with atf? is this good or should i just use soap and water? thanks for the info

the gaskets will be fine and use carb cleaner first then do dishsoap on a paper towel till no more dirt shows up on the towel. go around in circles not up and down

it has to be the biggest opening, if it was stock size u would have to shave the inside of the gasket everytime u get a bore done or u will have a lip on the inside of it

Either method is fine. The point is to get it very clean. With soap and water you must oil the cylinder immediately to prevent rust. With ATF you are using a high-detergent oil to clean the surface.

dont forget to chamfer the ports in the cylinder walls before reassembly. and clean it, clean it again and after that clean it again. any small piece of metal debris will be certain death for your new sleeve/piston.

thanks for the info guys, and yeah, its .020 over but thanks for the correction, will clean it very well b4 putting it back together.,,, thanks again
