well ive been runnin quicksilver oil and i wanted to get something better,so i went to autozone and got the valvoline 2 stroke oil. i have a few questions about it. 1.is it better than what ive been running? 2. is it any good?

I've never used either, my reccomended choice is Amsoil Dominator. It works great. I use Amsoil in all my quads and sleds. best stuff you can get. yamlube is good too.

i dont know about valvoline but i run penzoil in all my 2 strokes (i have 3 snowmobiles) and i liked it. i assume its smilier. but if you want to run the best stuff run maxima super m

well the nearest yamaha shop is like 30 mins away so ill run the valvoline and see how it works then ill go to the yamaha shop

Nobody is really answering this guys question . I would think it would be ok for normal ridding. I wouldn't use it myself because I ride real hard.

Not sure if valvoline 2 stroke is any good haven't heard anything about it. I would think that mixing 32:1 would be perfectly fine!

I run Super M. Tried Klotz loved the smell but put some kind of tarnish between the piston rings, that would not come off, so I switched to Super M.

I have ran yamalube for years, but until resently i have switched to redline racing oil. I have not ran it enough to really tell but i did go from a 40:1 ratio to 32:1 on the recomendations of the guy who dyno tuned my kids blasters.

what kind of mods do you have?
if any dont use the stuff from autozone. if you cant get to the dealership o get some for awhile maybe think about waiting.
if you are stock you might get away with it but im sure it wont lube as well as stuff designed for performance minded 2 strokes.
after all that is considered, think about this. injector oil wont mix right so if you mix your own fuel and oil get a premix designed oil

i wonder how accurate this is^

we used YamaLube 2-S Injector Oil in my buddies banshee for 2 years and never had a single issue, premixed.

and i know this is a smaller scale, but i premix 2-S for my lawn tools and never had any seizures or anything

it will seperate form the gas unlike pre mix that is designed to stay suspended in the fuel longer.
it does take a little whiile to seperate

well i got a fmf pipe and jet kit reeds and i think .10 over. i dont ride hard but ill floor it every once in awhile

i used that stuff only if i didnt have anything else and it seemed fine. it wouldnt be a great alternative in my opinion but its not gonna blow yur motor the second you run it either. ive ran the crap out of mine with it and didnt seem to harm it when i had my jug and that off.moderation i think would be key.
