Im a new member, i have a 03 blaster and a 02 400ex

but this is about my 2 buddys quadds

So my 2 buddys just purchaced yamaha blasters
one is a 06
one is a 05

>we all went ridding
>went through alot of water
>after all the water and mudd, on the way back the 05 started to putter out on a flat dry trail, kinda like the choke was pulled.
>the 05 died and we pulled it back

>the 06 made it back with out a flaw

>after we got home the 06 drove around the street fine

>we washed them off and then they both wouldent start

>we put in new sparked plugs, let them dry out a day
>washed the filters
>cleanded the carburators

>now both quads will start fine
iddle on there own with out any problem

>>>>>BUT when u give it gas it boggs down. like if u pulled out the choke(choke is not engaged/ and i cleaned the choke too)

i understand how a carb works and how a choke works but can not solve this problem.

i have a 30sec video of how it sounds
i cant post the vid but will email or txt it

i know when i went trail riding one day the bottom fell out of the sky and it poured i had to go through water holes to get back to the house but everytime i hit one to fast it would suck water into the motor and it would bog down real bad but i would just let it idle and it would eventully rev up right and i would be on my way again so u might just try letting it idle for a while and see if that helps

ok so checked the hand break and that was it thanks alot thats worked perfect.

now the 05 wont start

the 05 isent even farting, i thing its not getting spark even with starter fluid it wont putter, what are the reeds, i did clean the carb no i didnt check the back box thing

Well you should check for spark not think, the reeds sit infront of the carb at your intake do a search on reeds and reed (<lol) up about it but dont forget to go and check the back hand brake box, check for bad wiring

ok so the o5 will iddle and kinda rev up a bit but u have to take it easy and if u put it in gear and try to ride it it stalls

Mine was like this once i just let it sit on idle for around three quarters of an hour and after that it seemed fine :D
