i have a couple of questions. do 2003+ blaster spindles have the same mounts for the upper ball joint as banshee spindles? do they need to be drilled out for the banshee joint like some of the conversion spindles? need this answered pretty quick. thanks

maybe i wasn't clear. can i use my 03 blaster spindles with banshee joints or do i have to drill the top mount out?

No, the blaster upper ball joints are a 14mm pinch style mount. The banshees use a yamaha taper ball joint.

You can use banshee hubs "reemed out" to fit the blaster pinch bolt style ball joint but that's half assed (as brandon point out)

You cannot run blaster pinch style bolt with banshee ball joints. You cannot make the hole smaller by reeming, only larger.

The best bet is to pass on the banshee arms or get banshee hubs and have the arms made to fit a blaster. If you simply try to bolt banshee suspension on a blaster the camber will be WAY off and the caster will be slightly off.

no, the arms are asr long travel for blaster, but the guy had them on an older model with the drum setup. he switched to the complete banshee brakes and bought banshee hiem joits for the blaster arms. i was just trying to save some cash, but i guess i could get his banshee setup too.

I have asr arms too and banshee spindles. With the banshee heims, the spindles will work just fine. They are different than a blasters though, and unlike some arms, like the burgard ones I think, which are made around banshee spindles. The spindles on the asr arms throws the camber and everything off just a little bit. But this setup will work

i guess i'm a total retard, but what you're saying is i would still need to get his banshee spindles too right?

i know i can adjust the camber and stuff too. that's no problem.

yes you would need banshee spindles to use the banshee heims. but if you already have blaster hydro spindles, you can just get blaster heims for the upper a arms. i have my blaster mocked up right now with drilled banshee spindles on blaster heims, which is half assed and i dont wanna ride it like that. i would trade you straight up your banshee upper heims for my blaster upper heims. and you can contact asr and get the lower heims. that would be your best bet.

okay, i'll let you know on the trade deal. i'm going to pick these arms up today.

actually, now that i think of it, my banshee upper mount that i have has been drilled out i think, so i doubt i could use those heims. if the setup that you are already getting is setup for banshee spindles, then just see if you can get the spindles that already work on them for cheap. i would be interested in your blaster hydro spindles if you go that route
