007Blaster's '89 Build....

Looking good , You going to clean those cases up well before the rebuild ? , I cleaned mine pretty good

Oh yeah! I need to figure out how to remove the clutch actuator bearing one for the trans and the one for the balancer. I want to talk to the engineer that thought Phillips case bolts were a good idea lol

Haven't made too much progress lately, just been trying to clean up the cases. This next week I will be ordering all new bearings and misc new bolts and engine parts. Then I will save up some money for the parts I am sending to Ken Oconnor. Here's some pics though.
Second picture is my Banshee motor being rebuilt, true welded stock crank, trail port by FAST, advanced timing....

So I ordered a going hole bearing puller, all new bottom end bearings(looked up #s online and ordered them, heard some people said they aren't as good of quality but some are koyo which is what Yamaha uses, I just think the high price is the little Yamaha box and name. oh well picked up 4 bearings foe $12. Also ordered all new misc bottom end parts, clutch spring, sleeps, screws, kick starter etc. Then ill be sending out the crank and cylinder in the next two weeks. Going slow but its going..

So apparently I cannot post in the "Wanted" section yet :/ I am in need a nice shift drum if anyone has one laying around they'd like to part with. Let me know what you have.
Thanks guys.

So yesterday I dropped the frame and swingarm off to get powdercoated. Going with Silver Vein with 2 coats of clear. Was planning on Gloss Black but its the same price for silver vein. Boxing up parts tonight to send to KOR and should be able to start re-assembling in a week or two. Will post of more pictures as parts come in!!

So I picked up another Blaster a few days ago. Its an 01, got it for $850 with a spare motor and a extra set of Douglas Wheels and tires. Compression was 122 and leakdown resulted in a leaking stator side crank seal. New seals will be here thursday. The spare motor is a good parts motor as the cases have a nice hole near the tranny side where it looks like the crank busted thru...
