My Concours is fast but when I rode a Hayabusa it was like going from a stock Banshee to a race ported 7mil stroker Banshee- it was all good until you got to the powerband. It was easy to ride if you never went past 1/4 throttle- but once it got on the cam it was OH-MY-GOD fast. I think that my friend’s bike still has the clench marks on his seat from my ahole. You are right, I have talked to dealers about selling such powerfull bikes to the unskilled and they say that many buyers (even skilled ones) have had serious accidents with these newer rocketships. I like that Suzuki uses different ignition and fuel curves to limit the power on some of their faster bikes- I only wiched that you could lock in your chosen setting.
 
most new riders don't understand how responsive a motorcycle's throttle actually is. they are very unforgiving if you make a mistake
