yfz450 or 400ex rear shock????

I want to upgrade my stock suspension.Which of these 2 shocks is better overall for a blaster?From what I've read mounting the yfz shock is more involved(cutting,compressing)is it worth the extra work to go with the yfz?I will be installing it with a +4" swingarm.

my 400ex shock works amazingly with the stock swing-arm....
it would probably be to soft with a +4 on there

I was leaning towards the yfz from the beginning I guess I'll go with it.Any one have a 400ex shock on a +4 swingarm though?

ive had both shocks on the +4 swinger, and liked them both, but the yfz shock had a ton more travel, but it also makes the blasty sit really high in the back, and going down a hill u feel like the bike wants tp flip ass over head, but 1 way to correct this is a rear lowering kit, it should level it out abit

does the rear stay about stock height with the 400ex shock?

ya its a about a inch taller not even
