yfz shocks with a lowering kit

i was thinkin the same thing for awhile now, and have a drawing i made of some brackets that should do what you're thinkin, just never got around to tryin it out, didnt see what would hold them in place, besides welding them

are you talking about a bracket for the top awk....i am talking about the lowering kit that bolts to the bottom shock mount and moves the bottom mount farther out twards the wheels

i was wondering the same thing ive got a set of yfz front shocks but didnt want to sell them if this would work i was also going to get one for the rear and use the 250r shock i have

it would work if it was welded, but they say that its not recommended for jumping, and whats the point of yfz shocks if ur not going big........

yeah i was talkin 'bout brackets for the top, gonna have to dig that hand drawing up and see if i can transfer it to the puter, and i now have acces to my buddies welder so anythings possible,
and yeah freek if ya aint goin big stay home, <<< new video camera comin soon so way big air vids comin this year, + leg is all better for this year too

i would love to relocate a bracket on the bottom a arm for the blaster, that seems the most resonable,or for the top i don;t care, or how about a kit that makes it so you can run yfz 450r a arms and shocks, that would be pimpin!

or a top bracket like the diamond j kit, but it would come outta the frame and turn up about 2 to 3 inches???? to accomodate the extra inches of the yfz's

let me get this straight... you want to put yfz shocks on your blaster but they're too long for the stock shock mount and by moving the bottom one out further it makes up for the extra length?

yeah somthing like that

nice, ignore my message now lol

I was thinking about adding extra shock mounts to my a-arms out on the end so i could move my shock in and out. So one day just for fun lower the blaster down and cruse but if i want to jump all i would have to do is loosen a couple bolts and move them back in.

i think either of these suggestions would work, dont be scared, give it a try, if your not welding anything it's all reversable and resaleable
you'd think that a lowering kit would work in the rear too for the longer yfz shock

just rethought this and i'm picturing how close my shock spring is to the upper a-arm, if the bottom mount was moved outwards the shock spring is more than likely make contact with the upper arm, top mount extensions the way to go imo.

they do work with a stock length shock, i cant see it wit the extra
3" yfz, gonna create way more angle and prolly hit the arm???
find sumthing (cardboard tubing from x-mas wrapping???) that may be close to the circumferance of a shock and cut to yfz length, hold it in there and see how it clears, work the travel up and down too?
and report back with your findings
