yfz rear shock

Hey guys I know you all have been over this a few times but when you are putting the 450 shock on at the top what has to be done to make it fit? What parts are used -pics would be great any info would be great Thanks

just a new bolt, and some wasters to make it fit sung. i could get pics later tonight.

pics would be great, I got a new bolt but it is to small for the top mount, fits the shock eye lit good. Do I need to do something to the shock or the mount???

what do you mean? to prevent that play that is in there? well with the washers you can bolt it down nice and tight. mine is sung.

Ok maybe I'm missing something but the mount hole on the top mount of the atv is 5/8s the new bolt to fit the yfz shock is 1/2 so there is play in the top mount. Even with the washers there is still play?? Like I said maybe I'm missing something but thats what I'm looking at right now

but if you use flat washers bigger then the mount holes and tighten that bolt down real good, its not going to move.

so you guys used a 1/2in bolt in the stock yfz bushing to attach to the upper rear shock mount 5/8s hole with washers and did'nt have any problems with it moving??

yep. then i cranked it down tight. i used a grade 8 bolt. you should try and do the same.

if your worried about the play, get a 1/2" washer and weld it to the frame (inside or outside, your choice). then it can't move, it will effectively make the hole in the frame 1/2".
