No there are 2 wires for the key, once I get mine in the mail I will post a how to. And you NEED a new clutch cable. That is why you are having so much trouble with your clutch. That is beyond rigged. Order one asap and dont ride it anymore you dont want to screw you clutch even more than what it probably is.

you will notice slipping more in higher gears.

have you checked your fluid? drain your fluid first and see what color it is.

also take off the metal bar that is there to hold the plastic in place, that is going to hurt when you hit it.

i wasnt done yet but i chaned oil and it was black i did that yesterday and when i got it it use to rev high the people who sold it to me did not take care of it

black isn't good, put new fluid in there, put atf type f or belray gear saver and see if you notice a change in the slipping.
