ok so im putting in new cases now. i split the bad bottom end and i am putting the parts in the new cases. the long shift fork was in backwords so the circlip sucked getting off and there was no shift star on the inside of the tranny. question is, what way does the shift drum go in and are the shift stars on the inside and out the same? do they both have one point rounded off

uh....there is no shift star on the inside of the trans, only the one you can see with the clutch cover off

i'm telling you there's only one.....unless the untouched from yamaha one that i just tore apart was wrong?
 
sh!t whenever i pulled the cases all the parts was in the right side so thats the way i was putting them in first....clymers is showing to start with the left side...im a fking idot. im blaming it on being tired...sorry guys thanks anyways

finally got the bottom end together lol, once i unconfused myself it went smoothly. got to get up in 3 hours to go to work so ill save the top end for tomarrow night....thanks again guys. sorry for the stupid question
