a couple days ago i got my quad running but wouldnt pick up 4 th got that fixed put the motor in started everything was good tell yesterday i put the exoust pipe on and started it started right up but i killed it and it locked up completly wat happen:(???

opened it up and all the gears are locked tight the plug has gas on it but thats it....i guess ill have to pull the motor again...what happpened was i started it yesterday afternoon and it started right up i shifted into first gear drove it up the ramps turned it off...then like 10 min later started it again heard a kinda weird noise might have been a normal noise killed it...then i tried to start it again the kich start was all jacked up and would only go down half way but it started then made a loud noise and i killed it admititly and then it was locked up

no need to pull the motor. I would start in the clutch cover. might be the kickstarter. if everything is good in there. pull the top end. you only need to pull the motor to get into the crank cases.

i already pulled the clutch cover its locked up tight it will hardly move at all like quarter inch maybe???? im pulling the head in a few its about to rain so i dont wana jump into it if its gunnna rain

First of all, Porting and Polishing is not the right term your looking for...I think what your looking for is Bore and hone. Take your cylinder along with a 1 size larger piston and have them bore and hone it for you. Ask them if they can also chamfer the ports. When you go to put it back together, the piston should have two dots for the rings to line up with. Be very careful and slide the jug over.

Porting and polishing is referring to modifying the intake and exhaust ports. Allowing more air and gas mixture to get to the engine.
While your at it, take a picture of the inside of the cylinder along with the outside. Try to show us the intake ports inside and out along with the exhaust port. Alot of us apart of this forum will be able to identify if you have a port and polish or not....

it should be around $50ish for a bore job.
also inspect the ports, you might have messed them up with that.
you might need a clean up port job.
