Hey guys, i lost my idle screw yesterday so today i went and got a new one...
While i was at the shop, i asked for a new jet...my jet was stock, and i could tell it needed a bigger main...so i went from a 230 to a 250....I cant believe what a difference it made, So basicly with an FMF exhaust, silencer, boyesen reeds, jetted carb and an open airbox, it pulls the wheels with out a hickup...

Granted i know that im not running a 240 big bore..*Yet* But im really really pleased what the airlid removal and the 250 jet has done

You didn't re-jet after mods at first

I'm surprised it didn't blow up.

dude get the v force then you will be even more pleased, worth every penny. and the bigger carb, will make your sh*t hit soo hard, it is ridiculous!!

No, Ive only had it a month, thats the way i bought it....the bike ran like that for 7 years, the guy never even rebuilt it....i took it all apart to see how the top end was in, i was supprised how good it actually is. Im guessing he didnt ride too much

Ill buy them this fall, along with the 240 kit, Ive decided against another engine...I want it to be a blaster and stay a blaster

due to what ppl think.. i un proper jetting wont allways blow up a motor.. alot has to do with how its rode. if the guy just cruised around the yard or feild and didnt jump on the throttle hard it would be fine..

get some good porting..or a ported 240 jug then you will really be surprised!!!
glad to hear the jetting change werked out!!
fine tuning really makes a ton of difference..alot or people dont realize that.

ya, the 250 was too much it seemed for it, thats why i removed the air lid, supplies plenty of air now, If i went with a bigger carb, what do you recommend i buy?

34mm, you plan on the engine work, so i would go with the 34mm keihin pj, i have it and man does that thing hit, the thing with the bigger carbs, is, it has like a milisec of lag when you let off the clutch, the it f*cking slams down and it is like holy sh*t to f*ck me!!

yeah thats something i want to do also, but i don't want to lose my blaster for like a month. since summer is coming up and sh*t, i figure when i blow it up i will def get the porting done, and jumpt to the 240 kit.

same here, but im hoping it will last till the end of summer...though i ride it like i stole it...
