Worn rod bearing

i would say try and find a good bottom end and swap all your parts to do that, or try and find a good engine builder and have him replace your crank, if you do that you mite as well replace your crank bearings and seals since he already has it apart.

i'd throw in a stroker, and definitely do the bearings and seals,, its cheap insurance in the long run

bearings and seals definitly getting done. With the stroker crank though, won't head work and porting need to be done along with it?

Would going with a stroker effect the a/f needing needle adjustments? This isn't a build for me or else I would go w/ a stroker, but the guy isn't very mechanically inclined so trying to keep it as reliable as possible for as cheap as possible for him. lol

I dont think it would really affect any a/f ratios but you will have to jet richer for it. a stroker crank should be easy enough for anyone with reasonable experience to install dont do it if you dont trust the person working on it though.

Porting is recommended but not needed for a stroker

Thats what I meant by A/F was needing to rejet it which I wouldn't wanna have to do.

So I guess just go snag a standard stroke vitos or hot rodz crank off ebay?

affecting the air fuel ratio is why you have to rejet....

if you dont want to mess with much, just have your crank rebuilt or get a new stock stroke crank

I had gone with the hotrods crank throu a local shop. it was the cheaper of the two at the time, And only a few bucks from Rockymountain atv. Been happy with it so far. Both are good cranks.
