wont run when hot!?

got an 03 that runs great when cold. rode for about 20 min then she quit on me. she'll idle fine when hot, but when i give her gas, she boggs down and wont move. let her cool down a bit, fired up, run great and then boggs again. im thinking stator maybe? hot motor creates more resistance. maybe not enough power from stator? any input would be great! thanks

maybe...but I think it's seizing do to the heat...probably a airleak causing the heat

corrected lol....it would help a bit but if it's really 4 corner seizing that wouldn't solve it...need to do a leakdown to eliminate it

kgibson thats a beautful ATV in your sig.. But yeah its more then just a stator.. See if one of your buds got a know working one and try it. But the piston couldnt seize cause it would run again? So no seizure. But prob a bad airleak. Dont your blaster idle out of control after running it for a few mins?

Scott with all due respect...none of those issues would case heat after 20 min of riding. Your all about doing leakdowns so jump on the bandwagon with me lol

Thanks and yes they can seize and then run. I've actually had them lock up and after they cool restart and he raced it again a few times. They were 4 corner seizures and I had a small airleak.
