will the 88-02 style hood fit an 03 - 06 ?

i like the older style hood a lot better and was wondering if it will fit my 03

i dont see why it would not. You have have to make a bracket to make it fit. just like on the 88-02 you have to make a bracket to make the 03 up fit. I have a painted black hood i would trade you.

The other thing you need is the yamaha plastic cover thingy that covers the gap from the frame to the bumper.

i have that plastic cover that covers where the bumper meets the frame if you want it. and yes it will work.
