will a yfz steering stem fit a blaster?

a guy near me is parting out his yfz450 and i was wondering if a yfz steering stem will fit a blaster. also i just scored some yfz foot pegs and heel guards for 10 bucks

no. the yfz has splines at the bottom of the stem and the blaster does not, it fits into a bush while the 450's fit fit a corresponding spline socket and runs in a bearing. also the blaster has the tie rod ball joint locations as part of the stem while the 450 has them seperate. rather look for a banshee one and have it modded to fit, OR just raise your bars.

alright guys. thanks. i know a banshee one will fit with little modification but that guys is cheap and i am going to meet him to get those heel guards. and as far as raising mine... i have the stock clamps together to give me some rise, but i cant afford anything to make anything or buy one.

well, you will have to stick it out with them as it is then, if you have already raised them there shouldnt be a prob unless you really tall

no im only 5'9" so i aint tall, but with my mx bend bars, i was going to try and get at least an extra inch out of something.

x2 on the heelies score, but you do know the pegs don't bolt up, you will need to bolt them to your pegs as a double up, or cut off your pegs from the mount and weld the wider yfz pegs on
the heelies will bolt to your pegs and some years take a small bracket for the top rear mount

yeah i know they dont fit awk. thanks. i dont want the pegs. i just want the heel guards and the pegs come with them. not sure if i want to run the heel guards yet though. i might just sell them and send ken the money i owe him
