You remembered to plug the brass nipple on the carb with a rubber vacuum cap and some rtv right? Exactly how did you block it off?

the right way, with a kit, took clutch cover off, removed plastic gear, everything and anything, put clutch cover back on, put the block off plate, put rubber vacuum cap with that rtv stuff and done. Mixed new gas 40:1(a bit more than 3.2 oz, maybe 3.7? )

Another thing I notice the between about 9 seconds and 14 seconds it sounds like you are going downhill without your finger on the throttle and the engine only "tings" one times. Tells me the pilot circuit is lean.

Buy a one step richer pilot jet.

Nice observation, that was correct, i was going downhill, thats why you also hear it kinda engine braking before i give it throttle. So im going tomorrow and buying 1 size bigger jet pilot, ill hit ya up after testing! thanks!

One step on the pilot jet is about 3 numbers. Vito's includes a 32.5 pilot in their jet kit for the factory carburetor for use without an airbox lid.

You do have a stock mikuni 26mm carburetor correct?

The 35 pilot jet should definitely get you on the rich side of things.

At least if the larger pilot jet makes things worse, you know which way you need to be going... in my book even progress in the wrong direction is better than no progress at all and you should get a significant change out of jumping the pilot 5 numbers.

Acutally its 3 numbers, stock one is 32.5 . so 35 is the next size, and yea your right, any change is better than nothing. Thanks bro!

Nop, stock is 32.5, we have been the only owners of this blaster and that pilot jet has never been change, it even appears as 32.5 in bikebandit.com diagram.

hmmm, that's strange. I woulda swore stock was 30, just mistaken apparently. Trade up to that 35 and see what happens. It'll either get much worse or a lot better...

Im so f*cking frustrated. Put in the new 35 pilot jet, fresh gas from another gas station mixed at 40:1(a lil more, like 3.7 oz), fresh plug. Took it out for a spin, still does the same sh*t. Plug looks good, brown color. WTF is going on.

needle is at second notch, were it best responds. The problem is from idle to 1/4 throttle. Reeds are good, im gonna go double check them again, but i checked them and they are good.

What about the needle??? its in perfect condition if thats what you mean. and I went 1 size up in the pilot jet and still it doesnt work. Float level is at 21mm how the manual says.

same as WOT. warm the quad up with an old plug, then put new plug in, run it through the gears, then in 6th hold 1/4 throttle for like 20seconds or so. then cut the engine.
