he honed it, but i doubt it was bored or the shop would have done that for him. sounds like he used a drill honer and just got rid of the scars, then reringed and let her fly.
and if it meassured out at 67, did you get a 67.25 or get another 67 even?

Well, im sure it ran fine. just more smoke than usually....i did the same thing...But trust me, its gonna run way better if you put the correct size piston in ;p. and yes, its going to beat the sh*t out of the exhaust side.

well then i would agree with everyone. if you ordered a 67 and honed it out you prob went too far out of tolerances.as was mentioned before, take it to a machine shop, have them mic it and go with the next bigger size piston. take the new piston back to them and the jug and let them do the bore.ive done the same thing as you did on small blocks, but they are way more forgiving lol. i judt did mine, and it ran me about $150 total with the piston and machine work.
