why wont the air box boot reach (pic)

plastics could have slid, loosen the bolts and try it. Or take the carb out of the intake boot a little bit so its closer to the airbox.

plastics dont have any bolts and they in the grove so they dont move.

i have trouble with mine to.when i try to tighten the clamp on the airbox side it tries to pull the boot off the carb

why would you cut the bracket off? just unhook it

its prob the plastics to far away cause it connect to the boot try pushing the rear plastics forward this happened to me and thats what i did.

Maybe you could try to heat it up a little with a heat gun or something to make it a little more "workable". I don't know if that's the best option, but may be worth a shot if nothing else works.

ive got it connected i took the carb and hooked the intake boot up first then pulled it to the motor and it didnt move when i put it in the groove so we are good

glad you got it on. i ran into this problem too so i took the dremel to the six bolt holes in the plastic and made them into slots to slide the plastic forward enough for an easier connection

plastics get abused and tweaked and so does the mounting tabs/frame.

ya i had a biotch of a time with my intake setup, i had to dremal out the intake to fit this bigger carb
