why are they making a raptor 125???

I was at one of my yamaha dealers yesterday and they had the raptor 125 there.. i even have a full photo shoot of it..and pictures beside a 700r for comparison...its much smaller in height... but in length..its not that much smaller then the 700r.... i asked the guy.. he said they are new and are for smaller kids.... but can handle an adult if need be.... he tried to sell me the 700r... i told him i ride 2 strokes... so wheres the banshee.... he laughed....

Ya i dont like that raptor 125...
just another crappy 4 stroke

we already plan on getting kevin one for his birthday in march, he'll be 9.
both my kids are tall like me and my wife, i'm 6'3" she is 5'8" with legs up to her neck.
brian, who is 11 is already taller then his mom, kevin, who is 8, is 5'5" already.
he's on a lt80 and its ergonomically wrong for him, that is why brian moved up from it to a blaster.
personally, and i know im gonna get harpooned for this, i'd rather have them on electric start thumpers with reverse.
blaster is fun, i even like riding it, but if they get stuck or in a spot they cant roost it around,
they have to get off and do it manually, and it takes 2-3 of them to move that blaster, i wont help, i just laugh, not until they are utterly exhausted will i help. so it just makes sense.
the blaster isnt goin anywhere, just right now, brian has to be extra careful what he gets into.
i call it a character building exercise
