While doing an oil injection block off, I noticed this...

My son and I were blocking off the oil pump and noticed this. (see pic) A very little piece is missing and was at the bottom when I pulled the side casing off. Not sure what the proper name is but should I be concerned with this? Also, what have you guys used to get the metal tube where the worm screw goes threw off the side casing? Mine is very tight. Last, what are guys doing with the sensor that goes into the oil tank, simply cutting the wires?

X2 on needing new basket, as for oil injector stuff, pop c clip, take white gear off, push roll pin out of shaft, pop second c clip off, remove the pump an then tap the drive shaft out of the case,

I don't think I would run it with that basket broken. losing that finger could have weakened the rest of the basket.

This one looks good. there is a cheaper one but it looks like there is cracking.

/\ /\ /\. Looks a little worn, will need a bit of filing to remove the wear marks .

Not a good idea to run the one you have, if another finger breaks off it may get jammed in the works and do damage!
