wheel offset

4x1 is a popular size for widening the front

doesn't 4x1 actually make the front skinnier?. unless they are flipped? i think the factory rims are 10x5 (3x2 offset) so u could get rims in a 10x5 (2x3 offset) and would be the same as factory rims flipped. however with rims produced for that offset your valve stems will be on the outside as apposed to the inside with factory flipped rims.... just my thoughts.

4-1 does nothing with the actual rim width its got a ton of back spacing over stock,,,any more back spacing than that you would start loosing strength, even 4-1 bend rather easily on the outside side of the rim

4x1 are 1 inch inside spacing and 4 inches out, with the valve stem on the outside,
i had a set way back on my '96 and when i ordered my fron kevlar bandits from rocky mountain atv, thats what they suggested...4x1 itp .190's, sold it 6 years later with unbent rims and 1/2 tread still left on them tires
