what would be good gearing for me??

I know 14/40 is the common top end mod,but i also know it depends on the tire size ur running. I have 22x11x8 that im using..now would the 14/40 have the same effect or should i bump the front sprocket up 1 since the tire is bigger? Please help with some input.

well up one would be a 15 front with 22" tires you gotta have a strong motor to push that gear. also you would have to mod te case to do it. id say you want to go down a tooth to a 13 front.. just my 2 cents.

Wouldnt that drop my high end/top speed?

yea dropping a tooth in the front will make u lose top speed, u should actually gain more top speed with those bigger tires on there if u run the 14/40 gearing

thanks guys,thats what i figured what would happen,bc im still at stock gears. so im gonna bump it up to 14.

you only get top speed from tires gearing and such not power.......you can have all the power in the world but your top speed will be the same unless you change gearing....with 22's i go stock gearing 13/40 my $.02
