what the loudest silencer?

SILENCER
Silencers come in all sorts of shapes and sizes. A long silencer with a small diameter enhance the low to mid power because it increases the bleed-down pressure in the pipe. A silencer with a short length and a large core diameter provides the best bleed-down pressure for a high rpm engine. Too much pressure in the pipe at high rpm will radically increase the temperature of the piston crown and could cause the piston to seize in the cylinder.

so you guys who have gone frome stock to aftermarket pipes ..would you say it has alot more pull/excelleration...the blaster seems really flat and liniar not having any "hit"

Would you guys recommend running a PowerCore2 on my Toomey B1 pipe???? Would it make a differnce since the diameter on the PC2 is alot bigger than the Toomey silencer????

so in thery since everyone compairs the dg t a stock pipe.. my guess would be a dg would be a stock pipe with out the baffle and crap in it

I did surgury last night on a spare stock pipe I had thanks to your pics, but I cut more than needed...next go around I know exactly where to cut...

what I did was cut 2 sections of the chamber, removed the baffle and a piortion of the internal stinger pipe and then re attached the outer casing with rector seal epoxy ( I don't have a welder) tonight I will swap the pipe and see how it effects the performance...if it does well then I will attack the other stock pipe and have it welded properly, or maybe grind the epoxy down and shorten the inner section of stinger some more and epoxy again for more testing

I have pics and will try to upload them and make a new thread soon

I got the idea from the older 89-94 kdx 200 stock pipe mod I had seen on another forum that seemed to improve performance

Doesn't make it bad per say... just not performance oriented. And anyone that posts that they want the loudest silencer is an idiot... that is the main reason ATV's are frowned upon is noise.

That being said I noticed a very good gain with the FMF.

well the epoxy lasted till 2nd gear then blew out when hitting mid rpm's ..guees I have to weld her up but it seemed like it was starting to pull hard...grinding all epoxy off..what a biotch
