after installing new gaskets my blaster would bog down at high rpms and in higher gears. After some advice from the bf members I checked the jetting at it is at 240. I have an fmf full exhaust clamp on uni airfilter and ride in elevation around 2500 feet. Any advice on what size jetting I should use, i think the bike was running rich, plug was very dark almost black with carbon deposits around it. What jetting would be best, any help would be so very appreciated. Thanks for any help

I would start witha 300 and work my way down by plug chopping

whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat he said the plug is black 8-|

ok dude im guessing the elevation is making you jetting rich by what your plug is saying

if its a stock carb go down 2 jet sizes and try that a 220....

put in a new plug and do a WOT plug chop and check the base inside the plug it should be a cardboard color jet up or down by one size at a time with what the plug reads

so should I just get several different jet sizes and use trial and error along with plug coloration to find what is right?

heres a pic of the plug if it helps. Does the engine bogging down at higher rpms usually mean a rich condition?

I dont know if this pic will show up any better camera kind of sucks. Spark plug aside is the jetting probably the reason the blaster is bogging down at higher rpms?
