What should I expect to pay for a good running Blaster?

One of my buds just picked up a blaster, and it looks like a blast to drive, lol. Anyway, its an 01 and he paid $1300 for it. It seems to run fine, it does have an overly loud knock though. He says he thinks he overpaid, but I was wondering what I should expect to pay if I want one too.

Also, as far as hauling it around. I have found some Harbor Freight trailers for $200-300, but they do not have suspension.

How much do blasters weigh? Should I be alright with just tying it down and not worry about anything tipping?

Thanks for any information you can provide.

i have almost the exact or if not the exact trailer in the picture. (mines a 4x8) it works great for me it has leaf springs for suspension. you will however need to buy decking and the hardware to put a deck down. they give instructions for mounting a deck included. i think it was $309 shipped and a blaster weighs around 320lbs

yeah the leaf springs come in the kit so just use them, and i just recently bought a 2003 with TITLE has a full fmf gold fatty pipe with core 2 silencer, v-force reeds, carb jetted, oil block off kit and itp holeshots + a sweet spark plug wrench the guy forgot under the seat.
I paid $1400 if you buy any used quad get a title!

go to youtube and look up "yamaha blaster" ive listened and watched tons they all have there own knocks/rattle. Its a 2 stroke engine so you will here scary noises

lol, agreed on the scary noises, my pipe fell off twice this weekend and made some bad sounds but i checked my rings and they are stil fine, uloose all your power without a pipe

blaster engines do make a distinct noise as for the knockin could be piston slap..i paid 300 for my blown up 2004 just look around u can find deals..unless ur looking for a done up one already then i could see payin 1400+ hope i helped but whats nice they arent really that much to fix or fix up
