Not sure what mainjet size I should be running. I have boyesen power reeds and want to run with the airbox lid off. I'm at 3300ft above sea level. I ordered a 250 and gonna give that a try. Will that work, do you guys have any suggestions?

if all else is stock a 250, maybe 260 for that elevation
plug chop to be sure

Everything else is stock, From what I've read a 250 is recommanded with the airbox lid off. I'm mainly worried if the 3300 ft of elevation will affect the jetting much.

yeah order a 260 also and then do a plug chop to confirm which one you need... we can only ballpark it on here... every bike is different and plug chops will tell if you got it jetted right

I will order a 260 tommorrow as well.

Finally got my carb re-build kit and boy is she running smooth..

if it's idleing and revving good now with the lid off, then changing the main will not effect the pilot circut

Agree with this Old Man ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ :D

about 1.5 turns out is recommended in almost ALL situations, with the stock VM26 carb. Just be sure to get that main correct, as said a few times PLUG CHOPS, etc, etc.

Agree you should be somewhere in the 260ish range, at 3300ft.
