what like are DG pipes on a mx bike?

hi guys well i got the bike i bought through by courier today. the exhaust silencer is thrashed. im thinking about buying once iv got it running a DG exhaust system but wondering if anyone has used one on a mx bike? just i don't fancy spend like £500/$700 on the same one when i can get a dg for like $300 delivered to the uk.

DG has a poor reputation when it comes to producing power.

I recommend a DMC Alien, great leak free fit up, very good in the low/mids and a very tempting sound.

i can't get a dmc for a bike or even this year only one i could find is the DG or a Pro circuit but the pro circuit its only the bendy part i can't find a silencer for the year. wondering if there is another silencer that would maybe fit the pro circuit off a different bike?

Go for the Pro Curcuit, I am sure there will be a silencer out there that will fit.

ah no worries and yeah i will im emailed suzuki them selves to ask about fitment off other silencers or they possibly would be able to get me a exhaust system for it. thanks blaaster!

DG silencers are good if they are older. DG used to be THE big name back in the day. My LT has a late 80's DG can on the back of my PSI and it sounds really nice. Go with the DG but be prepared to re-rivet the end cap.

what u mean re rivet it? il be buying it new if i decide to buy one. thanks for reply

They use chinsy rivets and they are loose no matter how new it is. Drill all the DG ones out and replace them with your favorite brand from the hardware or auto parts store of your choice. There will be 3 to 6. More than likely 3 but since you are ordering new maybe they have changed thee designs up some and it's 6 (3 in front, 3 in rear)

thanks dude! i had a message on facebook from a guy with the same rm but a 81 model. he has the dg pipe and he said he was surprised with the power from it. so maybe dg is just ment for bikes lol il be ordering one when im ordering parts after xmas taking engine apart tomorrow to see what i need got pictures in build section of it
