what do you think of the dt200 swap?

it's an interesting project, and has been done with fairly good success, especially the mcdizzy.com build, <lots of good info on there about it, but we here in the states have a hard time finding them since the dt was never sold here, plus our stock motors can make that much hp. witht the right mods, and a helluva lot less work

I looked into trying to find one for a while when I blew up my first piston. I couldn't even find a jug or anything. Good luck. I don't want anything that I have to hunt that hard to find parts for.

good advice yz, i think the dt is only around 32

i searched and searched for a dt200 head and couldnt find one complete with radiator for cheap. but i want to do a yz490 swap. they look just like a blaster if someone doesnt know blasters too well

I'm with yz on this one. If you've got the mods listed in your sig then a dt200 is going to be a bit of a let down, imo

Its cool but I personally feel its overrated..... JMO

Plus when you stroke it or add a big bore sleeve ( or both ) you've got to block off the PV because it has no idea what to do and screws up the whole thing.... so you lose the biggest benefit the dt has to offer.

we install the power valve without the servo. We put a cable that is a double cable, and one opens the carb and the other opens the power valve. so as you accelerate, the valve gets opened
