Ok, so me and my dad took our bikes (blaster and xr200) to this guy for service January 9, 2011. We haven't heard from him since around mid-February. Now when we try to call him, it says the number is unavailable, and you can't even leave a message anymore. We tried to look him up to see if he got a new number, but it says its unlisted. You can get the number with a premium account on most of the sites. I was thinking maybe one of you guys would have an account so I don't have to make one. If you pm me i will give you his name and city. Any more ideas on what we should do? Btw he's like an hour and a half away from us.

Call the local police in that area. Tell em what you did and ask if they know if he is still around. If its a small community, many times the local Po Po will drive by and check on it for ya. Especially if they think there is wrong doing going on.

yea he really pissed us off. I think were gonna drive up there this weekend and just take them back

that right there is the answer i was giving, go get your shiat, asap
take a few freinds, and louie the slugger too, just in case

time to break out ol shorty. a while back i was trying to find a phone number for a guy and after a while on google i found it. you can find anything on the web if you look hard enough.

i'd make up a couple fakey bills of sale, written on different paper, with different colored ink, and 2 different years, have someone elses hand writing on them and each of you sign the appropriate one
having the vin numbers would be great too
once the old owner moves or changes phone numbers, you can't or prove thats where they came from anyway, i really don't see what they prove, after the sale, but at least you'd have something

bill of sale is meaningless unless it is notarized and witnessed by a third party, in arizona its practically impossible to get the MVD to even recognize it as a legal proof of ownership..ive been through that hell once..once you get your bikes back file the vin#s as recovered abandoned vehicles and pay the cash to get new titles printed so that way if this happens again you have paper in your hands to show the authorities proof of ownership, and it will make resale easier too

/\/\/\ exactly why i just rebuilt my blaster onto an 06 frame with a title

the only problem with calling the police is that we have no real proof of ownership (no title or bill of sale).

That doesnt matter. Your the consumer and your alleging the misdeed. He isnt going to have any further proof of ownership either. Do you have any pics of you riding it ? Thats probably better then he will have (maybe).

For example..............I dont have to have proof of a debt when I file a law suit against you at the local court house (though I might be asked for it at trial). It is my word that you have done me wrong and my intention is to prove it when it comes time to do so.

Does this guy have a shop name or you just took your bikes to some random guy that you heard about for repair ?

don't forget, your user account and any pics on here as proof !!!!!!
its all dated and time stamped
if the po-po ask for proof, pull out the smart phone and sign in, something nobody else can do, but i see no albums of pics on your profile ????
ya still have your sig pic though, possibly the only blaster that color known to mankind !!!

so we drove up to the shop today. The guy said that his phone got cut off because he didn't pay his bill. He said that our bikes are next in line and that they should be done by the end of this week. Hopefully they really will be this time.

i woulda took my sh*t home with me

and heres a smaller pic for your sig, it's gi-normous now

We would have but my dad did electrical work for the guy in exchange for him fixing our bikes. He said he would call us by wednesday whether they were done or not.
