look behind you
i put a fmf pipe a tommey muffler and took the air box off so now i have a clamp on air filter with outer where
what do i need to do to my carb what size jets and any othing things i need to do
thanks for the help

If it was me KX I would start at the 300 main, with the needle in the middle and see if you are too rich and go from there.

When I was jetting these all the time for a stock motor with a pipe and no lid, the main jet would end up being 280-300.

i would buy the jets going from 280-320 those should be enough..
and if i was you i would also get a bigger pilot because your flowing alot more air with the pod filter...

start with the biggest jet for the main and if it sputters or very sluggish then go down one jet size untill you find a jet were it runs perfect then after you do that do a plug chop to see how close you got it and then adjust from there..

remember when you make changes to a carb make sure you do them one at a time so if something goes wrong you know what caused it

It should be around 270-290 with the needle in groove 2 or three with the air screw on 2 turns. IMO

it all hang's off what altitude you are at im sure there is some one on here with a fmf with lid off.

I had mine with lid on runing 250 main needle clip 2 and air screw on 2 turns

OK I said start at 300. I didn't say just put a 300 and ride it. This a place to start like I said. I only assumed that the bike was stock and still had the stock main and that he just put the pipe and silencer on and removed the lid. Which would make me start where I said and go from there. Maybe you should re read what I posted.

Please read the bold, I assumed it was stock. Their is no reason for him to run it lean with a small main.

X2............................................

me too, i just do it in a different way. If someone doesnt want to listen. If you where here to help people then you wouldnt tell someone to go buy a jet before they even see how their bike runs, which doesnt work. Dont waste the guys money

well being that this is blasterforum......many to most of these guys including myself have ran and tried diffrent jetting for all the diffrent types of blaster carbs including stock carbs for the blaster....so assuming that u dont even have a blaster how would u even know what jet sizes the stock carb has in it

and saying that i think iwould listen to the guys that have built, rode, modded and tore apart blastys for their opinions on what jet sizes they should run.........cause most of the time we are right!!

right on freeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeek I:I

yeah it has all stock and then i put the pipe and tommey on rode it for a day and like an hour in to the day the rubber pice i had to connect the tommey and fmf melted and my float stuck open so i couldnt realy contract on how it was runing so i said wtf why not while im in the carb i need a air filter any way why not go with no air box and a clamp on

thanks for the in put

Oh, the question was already answered, i though this was all over honestly. Just ride it and see how it runs, and the jet it correctly. Why does it matter what size the stock jets are?
